Impact in the Community
Our purpose has always been to improve the lives of our neighbors through actions, service, and advocacy. Our days are filled with gratitude as we work alongside people and businesses that aim to secure a healthy and connected future. Along the journey, we've had the honor of not only being publicly recognized for our passions and efforts, but also invited as contributors with other partners in the community.
We invite you to share in our joy! Please take a look at all of the goodness we've cooked up.
Where We've Been

In early November, we hosted a 1-hour online course: Well-Being in the Legal Profession: Oxygen, Aspirin, or Bling? It was a huge success, with over 50 participants. A special thanks to Loretta Oleksy, a Thought-Kitchen Mindful Life and Work Coach, and our guest instructors, Mark Carnell and James Bell. The course is now offered on demand and is worth 1 CLE credit.

In November, Lesley Crane, co-founder of Thought Kitchen and DivrsiFind, was interviewed as one of the top 9 entreprenuers at #InvestInWomenFounders 2023 Summit hosted by The Startup Ladies.

Thought Kitchen Co-founder, Jill Carnell, presented at the 2023 Labyrinth Society Annual Gathering. Jill talked about Kintsugi Labyrinths as participants practiced with handheld labyrinths created by Jill herself. Many loved their labyrinths so much that Jill let participants take theirs home About the practice: Blending the Japanese practice of kintsugi, or “golden repair,” with a handheld labyrinth practice provides an accessible metaphor for navigating grief, loss, and change.

Setting Boundaries with Loretta

Mindful Life & Work
Indiana Lawyer
During the pandemic, we all were forced to shuffle our lives and shelter in place. Attorneys, along with all other workers, had to learn to incorporate their work life into their home environment. Creating boundaries is difficult when work is just a room away, and people are asking you to help them in some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
This article highlights Loretta and her wisdom, and suggests to attorneys that setting healthy boundaries is a step to ensuring positive client relationships and outcomes.
As Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association's Well-Being Committee, Loretta is often consulted about lawyer, law student, and judicial officer well-being. We love her passionate advocacy for this community and her work to support healthy outcomes and mentorship to all who serve in the legal community.
