About the event
The lawyer shortage is often framed as a question of supply, but it is equally a function of system design. The way legal work is structured — through persistent overload, competing demands, limited recovery time, and expectations of near-perfect performance under constant scrutiny — consistently produces burnout.
Despite a decade of increased awareness around well-being, these underlying conditions have not meaningfully changed. This session reframes well-being as a structural driver of both attrition and the pipeline. Participants will examine how system-generated stress reduces workforce capacity and will learn practical interventions that can be implemented within existing constraints. Improving well-being requires changing how the system works.
