Impact in the Community
Our purpose has always been to improve the lives of our neighbors through actions, service, and advocacy. Our days are filled with gratitude as we work alongside people and businesses that aim to secure a healthy and connected future. Along the journey, we've had the honor of not only being publicly recognized for our passions and efforts, but also invited as contributors with other partners in the community.
We invite you to share in our joy! Please take a look at all of the goodness we've cooked up, and then some.
In the Community
We had a wonderful time at the Indiana State Bar Association's 2023 Solo & Small Firm Conference hosted at the historic French Lick Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana. Thought Kitchen sponsored (and hosted) the event's Well-Being Room. We were graciously humbled by the participation of the services we offered here. We even had to find extra chairs for some of our events.
We offered services such as energizing sound bath, aqua yoga, guided handheld labyrinth practice, gentle yoga, relaxing sound bath, and a facilitated discussion about Living BIG (from Brené Brown's Unlocking Us podcast). We also offered asynchronous supports so attendees could work with the Seven Dimensions of Well-Being at their own pace.
A special thanks to those who practiced with us. You brought your authentic selves and the energy in the space was tender, yet powerful. We are grateful for you!
We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do.
Recognition
We are always grateful to receive recognition for our passions and efforts. We also love the opportunity to celebrate our teammates and their successes!
Diversity & Procurement

Our unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity and diverse procurement practices has garnered attention and praise. We were honored to be mentioned in the Indianapolis Business Journal for our efforts in supplier diversity.
The article recognizes Lesley Crane and Jill Carnell, who previously led the Indiana Department of Administration, for their commitment to effect permanent change in the areas of inclusion and supplier diversity.
Every member of our team continues to advocate for the inclusion of supplier diversity in every conversation about equity and inclusion efforts.

Mindful Life & Work
Indiana Lawyer
During the pandemic, we all were forced to shuffle our lives and shelter in place. Attorneys, along with all other workers, had to learn to incorporate their work life into their home environment. Creating boundaries is difficult when work is just a room away, and people are asking you to help them in some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
This article highlights Loretta and her wisdom, and suggests to attorneys that setting healthy boundaries is a step to ensuring positive client relationships and outcomes.
As Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association's Well-Being Committee, Loretta is often consulted about lawyer, law student, and judicial officer well-being. We love her passionate advocacy for this community and her work to support healthy outcomes and mentorship to all who serve in the legal community.

Cover of Res Gestae
We were proud that our very own Jill Carnell's article on the Brahmaviharas was the cover story for the November 2022 issue of Indiana State Bar Association's journal, Res Gestae.
Learn how Jill is raising awareness of the heart-teachings as an important component of lawyer, law student, and judicial officer well-being.
